Erasmus Days 2022 - en

Just like all things our "trip" came full circle and has reached its end. Our school has been active for more than 10 years in European activities, supplying the students with knowledge and experience throughout their lifetime.

On the 14th of October 2022 our long-lasting adventure was presented in the event hall to the teachers of our school, but also to the teachers of our neighboring junior high school, as well as to the students of the first class of high school. The presentation started with a short overview of the last movement of Erasmus with the topic being "Creating employment in sustainable tourism" which was held in July of 2022 in the picturesque city of Don Quixote, Almagro, and in other places in Spain, such as Toledo and Madrid. The participants were the teachers Pigadas Vasilis, Giagmouridou Evdokia, and the students Ioannidou Christina, Strantza Faedra, Kotsi Arbiona, Eva Semaltianou, Kourtidou Efi and Kourtidis Giannis.

To bring back memories of last year's events, the video "Erasmus experience" which was created by Bosko Niko and Pantidi Gianni, was presented. The video which refers to all the positives this specific program has to offer to an active student. From the beginning of October until the beginning of November our high school will accommodate two students from the high school of Almagro, Maria Triguero Chacon and Helena Marillo Caminero, who courageously accepted to attend their lessons in Greek for a month, learn about our culture and live just like the teenagers here. In the event, the two students spoke up and shared with us their first impressions of the hospitality they received in our school.

However, for us not to forget the beginning of our school's European adventure, a brief presentation of the older programs followed. The first European program which our school participated in was called Comenius and we had the pleasure of watching a video of a former student of our school, Evgenia Arvaniti, who participated as a student and undergraduate in European programs. Mrs. Arvaniti urged all teenagers to take part in European programs, because in this way they broaden their horizons and increase their choices.

Afterwards, the Saftas program followed, with the theme being cinematography and theater. The highlight of the program was when the participants met the Greek director Costas Gavras and when in April of 2017, in France they won the first-place award for a short length movie.

At the end of the event, not only was praise given to the students but to the teachers and headmasters who supported the internationalization of our school.

Culture, cooperation, friendship, entertainment, learning, work, dancing, experience, and lastly memories, for us one word, Erasmus.
